Comentarios del dueno
Designed by Gilbert Caroff, this CHATAM 60, a cruising ketch, is a fully aluminum sailboat (1.10 m / 3.20 m draft), built as a one-off.
The owner's words:
"Solid, with its 16 millimeters of aluminum hull, twin diesel engines, 3 heating systems, everything is designed for long-distance navigation.
The boat underwent a refit in 2017/18.
Thanks to its completely enclosed and insulated pilot house (sliding watertight door), the helm station is perfectly protected. With its two rudders and pivoting centerboard, the CHATAM 60 lies flat and allows for anchorages with its shallow draft. This CHATAM 60 is a well-equipped second-hand boat that has seen little use.
A boat designed for expeditions to the ends of the world."

It handles effortlessly with 2 crew members on board, even solo.
The maneuvers of the halyards and reefing lines are done at the base of the mast, in complete safety.
